Breast Cancer Haven, Wessex is a unique centre which provides wonderful support to all breast cancer patients. When you walk through the front door you will find that the atmosphere is calming and everyone is very friendly, helpful and supportive.

My diagnosis was confirmed on 1 October 2012, not a date I am likely to forget. It was the day everything turned topsy-turvy. It wasn't happening to me, but another person with the same name and so my breast cancer journey started with surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and endocrine therapy. This October will be the 5th Anniversary of the start line and I now feel my world has been returned to me.

I am abseiling for my local Breast Cancer Haven Wessex (Titchfield, Hampshire), a unique national charity which is a great lay-by on the journey, a place to be supported, all in one centre. It is a wonderful stop-off to visit again and again.

So wish me luck as I step over the edge of the Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth on Sunday 28th May 2017, its a long way down.

Please help me to raise funds and to achieve my target.

Thank you

Eileen Perry
