With Anne Hall, Counsellor.

We recognise that some issues particularly affect young visitors: this support group provides an opportunity for younger visitors to meet and talk to others who may have similar concerns. Recently we have talked about fertility issues, living alone, concerns about treatment, managing a social life, feeling isolated because none of your friends understand what it is like to experience breast cancer and going back to work.  The group members decide what they would like to talk about at each meeting. At times we may explore painful issues but there is also often laughter!

Anne sees her role as facilitating the discussion and creating a safe space for visitors to explore issues which are important to them. She has a career in counselling spanning 20 years working with NHS, colleges and private practice. During this time she has helped people individually and in groups to manage a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, stress, relationship problems, loss, the impact of illness and other crises.

Most people who come along are aged between 20-45 years.

The group meets once a month and is free to attend.
