Sue Gettings

Sue organised ‘Pink Rock 2009’ which took place on 23 May.  It was held at her local pub ‘The Cross Keys’ in Morley and was a full day of rock music (local bands including her’s called One Fat Spider), face painting and a raffle etc.  Sue chose to support The Haven as her sister Chris Lockwood was diagnosed with cancer in 2003.  Her sister has previously campaigned heavily for Breast Cancer Care and is also a volunteer for them.

Sue also wanted to support a local charity to Leeds, so the £3,000 raised from ‘Pink Rock’ was split 50/50 between The Haven and Breast Cancer Care.

Sue is now an avid supporter of The Haven and is already planning for Pink Rock 2011 which she’s hoping will be a 2 day mini-festival!
