Catherine Walker & Co

The Haven is delighted to have been working with Catherine Walker on fundraising initiatives over the last 15 years.  Catherine was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1995 and she and her husband, Said, had been thinking of setting up a Foundation very much along the lines of The Haven.  When they heard about our charity, rather than set up two similar organisations, they became founding sponsors.

15 years later, this wonderful fundraising partnership is still as strong as ever.  Catherine was an Ambassador for The Haven until her death in 2010.  Between 2001 and 2005, Catherine and The Haven collaborated on a number of major fashion-led fundraising events which have raised over £375,000 to date.

The latest collaboration – The Blush Fashion Show – takes place on Wednesday 18 May 2011 at One Mayfair, North Audley Street.  This one-off fashion show will be the first time Catherine Walker & Co have shown stunning dresses from their archives along with a glimpse of the future with designs from the new collection.  The  event is taking place to celebrate the life of iconic designer Catherine Walker and to raise funds for The Haven.
